Highlights from some of the projects that I've been working on over the last few years. Designed, animated, directed, or some combination thereof, by yours truly. Enjoy.Animation, Art Direction, Motion Graphics2012 -
Alliance Films asked Giaronomo Productions to update their production card for the highly anticipated release of the first installment of Hunger Games. It was certainly an ongoing project with a lot of tweaking but I am very pleased with the result. I wanted to show that individual sparks of ideas can come together to create a grander presence. Oh Particular, how I love thee.Art Direction, Motion Graphics, Storyboarding2012 -
I had the opportunity to pitch on the Amazing Spiderman trailer last year and it made it all the way through the animation stage. Sadly, it was not the only horse in the race and was passed on down the line. I did get a chance to develop how to attach the "web" and the shard together with spline dynamics and Xpresso. All the swinging and webs are completely controlled by dynamics. Good Times!

Our friend Vallo shot this great spec spot for Nike and came to Framework to add some effects. After a couple of days dialing in Particular we ended up with this, super stoked on the resolve.Visual Effects, Motion Graphics2011 -
I've always been a fan of the classic comics so it was a treat to work on this show with David Steinberg. It reminded me how much I love Mel Brooks and Don Rickles and it had great insights into how they approach their work. David wanted a OTS to show that all these comics are interconnected in their styles and history while having a bright color palette to offset the more subdued interview clips.Motion Graphics2012 -
With a crazy turnaround, this project was both thrilling and overwhelming. A 60 second spot by the Goetz Brothers through Make + Model for Tribal DDB, my job was to bring this interpreted GPS world to life. Shot over 2 days on a stage and on location, we had a little over a week to pull everything together which was no small feat. 3D tracking, MoCo capture matching, keying, roto, planar tracking and then design on top of it, almost every shot had some vfx or treatment, or both, to it. The final product was broadcast on the NASDAQ monitor in Times Square which added a little something special to the project.

I often wonder about all the storyboards that never get seen other than by the artists and the clients that decline them. I've been doing this for awhile and a lot of the time it's another lower third, another paycheck, with no real creative satisfaction. But sometimes along the way, on a pitch or presentation, you make some stuff that you feel is a little better than the normal output but at the same time still doesn't get picked for some reason or another. All good, we understand it's a business. But there still is some creative pride and we don't want the work to disappear into the void of lost frames. I decided to put together a collection of random frames that I've done over the years, some things got picked some didn't or some never made it to the animation stage but still hold some sort of connection for me.Design, Motion Graphics, Storyboarding2011 -
Here's an animation test done during the development process for a pitch for the opening title sequence of the movie Dream House. The story is about a man whose life crumbles around him and I wanted to show that through animation, which was made possible through the Thrausi plug-in and the wonders of Cinema 4D's dynamics. Never made it to screen but the trailer ended up looking very similar.Motion Graphics, Animation, Design2011 -
Update of a classic production logoArt Direction, Design2011 -
Framework Studio created the original main title sequence for the Sing Off and NBC returned to us to update it for the third season. The show has really grown and they wanted the main title to reflect that. We had 3 weeks to create, cast, shoot, edit and finish which turned out to be no small feat. I was CD and directed the shoot which was a great experience because of the amazing team and the hard work that everyone put in. A few production stills follow the video...Motion Graphics, Directing, Creative Direction2011 -

It was a great honor to work on this Awards show. The client wanted the title to show how these heroes are beacons of light that inspire people, becoming contagious until the whole world are heores. The were a lot of design passes but we had to wait until the actual night of the Awards to shoot the celebrities (who were all very awesome to work with) and put them in the animation and have it all done in 3 days. Crazy turnaround but we are all pleased with the outcome.Motion Graphics, Broadcast Design, Boards2011 -
Framework Studio has handled every season's graphic needs for ABDC and for Season 6, we were asked to update the main title using the existing footage shot from the first season. With an amazing team we came up with what I think is a fantastic spot.Art Direction, Design, Motion Graphics2011 -

This was a fun project to work on, simple concept boards for Colombiana's Teaser. An image of an orchid played a major theme in this movie so I tried to involve it into the work. You can see how one of these concepts was made even better in motion by Jesse Hallas at the bottom of the page.

While working at Deva Studios, I designed and animated this teaser trailer for Ryan Reynolds' suspense movie. At the time, there were only production stills to use so we had to figure out a creative and engaging way to tell thestory through stills.Design, Motion Graphics2011 -
Pitch Boards for Versus Sports ShowDesign2011 -
This was a submission to Doritos' annual Power Of The Crunch commerical competition for the Super Bowl and I am proud to say it came in 2nd place! This was back in 2009 and I was responsible for the visual effects, of which I give a breakdown at the end of the spot.Visual Effects2011 -
"Commercial's Most Famous Faces" was the second line to this title so I decided to play on the actual commercials these stars were in. Candy color and intentionally over the top, this led to one of my most favorite guilty-pleasure designs, The Ben Affleck with Cheese.Motion Graphics, Design2011 -

This was such a crazy project to work on, I think in total it was revised over a total of 6 months. Below are a some of the first rounds, but the finished animation actually turned out completely different to this. Battleground Earth was the first original programming for the fledgling Planet Green Network when it made it's debut back in 2008.
